Preventing Infectious Diseases

Social Issues – PeopleTowels and Clean the World have joined forces to eliminate…or at least put a major dent in…the prevalence of infectious diseases around the world by encouraging hand washing.

The program, Clean Hands, Clean World, pairs recycled soaps provided by Clean the World with the reusable towels created by PeopleTowels, to supply Third World countries with the resources necessary to prevent spreading germs through the simple act of washing hands. And since PeopleTowels are reusable, the program helps to eliminate unneeded waste as well.

For all the good this program is doing to save lives, they are still lacking a spokesperson so they are holding a polling contest to allow the public to decide which celebrity spokesperson is worthy of such an honor. Voting is open until March 19, 12:01am EST

When you vote, it will be an automatic entry into a giveaway with the grand prize including, among other things, t-shirts from Be Love Apparel, a Sprout watch, goods from A Lot To Say, a Voltaic Systems USB rechargeable battery, The Green Garmento and a Tote bag from Rebagz.
