Gov. Goes Mexican

Social Issues – Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura will “never fly commercially again” after an incident at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in 2010. After receiving a rather invasive and aggressive pat down (the metal detector picked up his titanium hip implant) the former Navy Seal said, “I will not, in a free country, be treated like a criminal. In our airports today, we citizens are treated like criminals. We’re guilty until we’re proven innocent.”

Since the spectacle, the former wrestler went to great lengths to sue the federal government alleging that the scans and pat-downs were unreasonable. Ventura said, “I want a trial by jury. They tell me I can have a jury decide my fate! If given a jury, I will win.” Jesse reported his trust issues regarding the panel of three government-paid appeals court judges.

After recently losing that legal battle, Ventura threatens to apply for dual citizenship in Mexico to flee the grip of what he calls “the Fascist States of America.” The former governor and his wife Terry fell in love with Mexico after spending much time there after he left office in 2003.

“The only way that I could change it [the procedures], I guess, would be to run for President and win it,” Ventura mocks, “Is that what will take? I’m thinking about it. Jesse’s on a roll!”

Ventura, the new host of truTV’s “Conspiracy Theory” made remarks about losing his patriotism, “I will never stand for a national anthem again. I will turn my back and I will raise a fist.” Currently, Ventura is announcing his plans for Mexico where, Ventura feels, free.
