Global Voices of Nonviolence 2011

Global Voices of Nonviolence, a 12-day global conversation, kicked off on U.N. International Day of Peace (9/21) with live events in Washington D.C. and London (UK).  The events included the online premiere of the award-winning nonviolence documentary Little Town of Bethlehem, followed by a live-streaming panel discussion.

The film shares the gripping story of three men, born into a cycle of violence, who now risk everything to find a path of peace through nonviolent resistence. Sami and Ahmad are Palestinians; one is a Christian, the other a Muslim; and Yonatan is an Israeli Jew. Each finds inspiration through the examples of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.

The film has won numerous film festival awards and has been the subject of open dialogue and debate on hundreds of college campuses throughout the U.S..  It is currently being offered online for 12 days only, in conjunction with Global Voices of Nonviolence 2011.  Click Here to learn more about Global Voices of Non-Violence.
