Humble Bundle

Science & Tech – For gamers who care, the Humble Bundle offers a way to support both indie developers and people who need the fun that gaming can provide the most: hospitalized children.

The Humble Bundle is a collection of indie games for multiple platforms that come at a pay-what-you-want model. Better still, you can choose to give some or all of your payment to Child’s Play Charity.

Child’s Play Charity places games and game consoles into the hands of sick, hospitalized children. It works with these hospitals one-on-one, and selects titles based around both what the hospitals approve of and what the children want. The organization has helped with the allocation of millions of dollars in contributions since 2003.

The current Humble Bundle, “Humble Bundle for Android 2″ is, in fact, not just for Android, as each title runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac as well. The promotion lasts two weeks, and new Humble Bundles appear every so often. Titles are DRM-free, too. So there’s really no reason to not give, ahem, ahem.
