It Doesn’t give you Wings

The Renewable Energy Accountability Project (REAP) released a video taking on Big Coal in a humorous way.

The video suggests that “coal isn’t just clean…it’s refreshing” when you drink it and encourages thanking “big utility companies for putting profits before your future health, the economy, and the planet.”

Several people in the video are seen drinking the new “Coal Energy Drink,” and promoting its benefits while smiling at the camera with black teeth and lips.

All humor aside, according to a report released by the American Lung Association, “power plants are responsible for 13,000 deaths annually” and “coal-fired plants ‘produce more hazardous air pollution in the U.S. than any other industrial pollution sources.”
