Bieb’s Fan Gives Back
Celebrity Charities – Girls all over the country swoon at the sound of Justin Bieber’s voice and most would jump at the chance to meet the prince of pop and own something that has been touched by the Biebs (insert starry eyed sigh here).
So when 14-year-old Alexx Mowbray was pulled up on stage by the boy wonder and given his acoustic guitar, complete with signature, you would think she would set up an altar in her house and worship the guitar for years on end, right?
Wrong. She, and her sister Kelsee Casagrande, decided to follow in Bieber’s footsteps and auction off the guitar and donate the proceeds to his Believe Charity.
Bieber is a well known advocate for charities, including Pencils of Promise and City of Hope, and his fans, the “Belibers,” are happy to follow in his footsteps.
“We never even thought of selling it and keeping the money,” Mowbray told The Beacon Herald. “If it can save lives, that’s more important than money. And I’ll always have my memories,” she added.
Mowbray and her sister are using social media to promote the auction for the guitar, in the hopes of raising a ton of money for the Believe Charity. They also plan on donating a portion of the proceeds to a local food bank in Stratford, Canada, in honor of the Beibs.
